The Process of Recycling Gold

Using antique gold and stones is a wonderful way to reimagine an old, unworn piece of jewelry into something modern, new, and beautiful. When using old gold, the unrefined metal is put into a mixture of acids that helps dissolve and separate the gold from impurities. Once this gold is at 24 karat purity, it is alloyed with other metals to obtain 14 karat, 18 karat, or 20 karat gold. Jewelers can then use this gold to hand-fabricate or cast jewelry. 

The final result of restoring, preserving, and repurposing your heirloom gold will be a gorgeous custom piece that is as rich with meaning and details as it is truly unique and beautiful.
